Dear Diary - here's the first of this year's spring collection in a delightful rusty brown…fascinating where one can find such things as springs - this (and the others to come) was found in a river bed (maybe it's simply a fresh water spring - hahahahaha! NOT!!)

Dear Diary - just one question…How the hell did this end up on the beach…? If you've been to Walkerville South you'd know it's not the eastiest of spots to get to - so maybe it's the engine from a boat that exploded and burnt out on the beach; or perhaps the result of a schoolies prank to mess with people's minds; or, then again, it could be a warning from some of the local dairy cows against hooning around the beach…

Dear Diary - I love the colours that can be discovered in discarded car bodies…rich, rusty, red; pale, soft, pastel blues; sudden splashes of unexpected yellows and iridescent pinks…there are true revelations of colour in taking the time to study the minutiae of discarded and abandoned car bodies.

Discarded Body - Niddrie.

Dear Diary - I'm constantly fascinated by the things we discard as a society. This discarded car body was found near the Niddrie quarry. The quarry itself was once a rich source of discarded car bodies, wrecks and the amazingly rich rusty hues of decomposing vehicluar corpses. Now with a new estate being developed in the unused quarry (thank goodness it wasn't turned into a toxic tip as was proposed at one stage) the bodies are starting to appear in nearby creek areas

Dear Diary - This body has been dismembered and spread around the area alongside a train track. In this shot we find two tyres and a rusted old petrol tank. It's not just a shame that the original car is no longer but it's also a hassle that the body is left for dead, out in the open, messing with the environment…
