Locked Door.

Dear Diary - using Polaroid 600 Film - was walking down a street that seemed to have more than it's fair share of No Through Road signs - which was pretty clear since, in apparent view at the end of the road was a big, solid, metal gate with absolutely no way to go but back the way one came. Obviously, however, a few of the pedestriana must have tried short-cutting it through this person's property, hence the pad-locked door and the delightfully fonted message…

Red Doorway.

Dear Diary - Using Polaroid 600/Ambient lighting…no flash - I'd originally been in this laneway a few days earlier during daylight and they didn't have the plastic strips up and it was too "daylight-y" for the 600 film. When the strips aren't up there's a really delightful, rich, red door - looks like the type of door you'd expect to find on a fire station. I was originally hoping to get a shot of the heavy, red "fire station" door slightly ajar with the light from the kitchen spilling out into the alleyway, and was a bit disappointed when I saw the red plastic strips…BUT…I'm totally satisfied with the result - the red light seems to be intensely burning, glowing and emanating, virtually exploding from the doorway into the lane.

Green & Lock.

Dear Diary - Using Polaroid 600/Ambient lighting…no flash - there's something about this shot that I love…maybe it's simply that I'm enjoying the colour green at the moment. And the more I look at the shot the more I find myself wondering just how many locks there actually are in the shot.
If you're curious as to where this is, I think it's in Racing Club Lane off Little Bourke.
